The short version: Ocean Deep has no accounts and no servers. Everything you do stays on your iPhone, and nothing is ever sent to us.
Overview
Ocean Deep Meditation Timer is a simple meditation countdown app. Your privacy is important, and the app is designed to keep your data entirely on your device. There are no accounts, no servers, and no analytics — everything happens on your iPhone.
Data Stored on Your Device
The app stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Session history — The start time, duration, and completion status of your meditation sessions.
- Preferences — Your last-used session length and warm-up length, so the app opens where you left off.
This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.
Apple Health (HealthKit)
With your permission, the app writes your completed meditation sessions to the Apple Health app as “Mindful Minutes.” The app only writes this data — it never reads, shares, or sells any of your health data. Health data is managed entirely by Apple’s HealthKit framework and is subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can grant or revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Notifications
The app plays a gentle bell to signal the end of a warm-up and the end of a meditation session. While the app is open, the bell plays in the app; if you leave the app, a local notification delivers the bell instead. These are generated entirely on your device and are not sent through any external service. You can manage notifications in iOS Settings.
No Data Collection
This app does not:
- Collect or transmit any personal information
- Use analytics or tracking tools
- Display advertisements
- Require an account or login
- Connect to any external servers
Keeping and Deleting Your Data
You are always in control of your data:
- Session history — Delete individual sessions in the app’s history, or delete the app to remove all of its local data from your device.
- Mindful Minutes — These live in the Apple Health app. You can view and delete them there at any time. Sessions already saved to Apple Health remain in Health even if you delete the app, until you delete them in Health.
- Health permission — Revoke the app’s access in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › Meditation Timer.
- Notifications — Turn them off in iOS Settings › Notifications.
Because the app keeps no data on any server, there is nothing for us to retain, export, or delete on your behalf.
Children’s Privacy
The app does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children, and requires no personal information to use.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy is updated, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
